DORSET CORSET presents
NORTHANGER ABBEY
by Jane Austen
Friday 26th September 7:30pm
Dorset Corset Theatre Company presents a new adaptation of Jane Austen's novel, published
in 1818.
Catherine Morland is hopelessly addicted to Mrs Radcliffe's lurid and macabre gothic novel
'The Mysteries of Udolpho'. In Bath she falls for the witty Henry Tilney whose family
invite her to the dark and sinister Northanger Abbey. Excited by the prospect she readily
accepts, but is she any safer there? At Northanger Abbey Catherine's over-active imagination
causes her two worlds to collide as fantasy gets in the way of reality.
With their own unique style, Dorset Corset comes to Strode Theatre with a reputation for
"...clever use of traditional song, some finely judged knockabout comedy and
terrific performances." (Blackmore Vale Magazine)
Tickets
£9.50, concessions £8.50.

JOE CORNISH and ANDY ROUSE
INNER VISIONS 2008
Sunday 7th December 2008 2pm

Building on the overwhelming success of Inner Visions 2007, the pair of our most
influential, charismatic and successful British photographers have prepared an
unmissable event in which they share some of their most personal feelings and thoughts
that go into the creative process of image-making both from the point of view of an
entire landscape and the creatures that live within it.
Revealing both similarities and differences in their creative approaches, Joe and Andy
discuss their beginnings in the photographic world and how both their lives and work has
evolved over time to the enviable international reputations they now both hold. An
inspirational and unique presentation lasting for an entire afternoon, there is quite
simply nothing like it and will be the event of the year for all with an interest in
photography in the great outdoors.
